# How to enable ETH\_Sign on Metamask

Private Transactions require the highest signature type `eth_sign` starting with Metamask 10.25 this type of signature is disabled on the wallet. You must re-enable it in the wallet settings to use Private Transactions through Instadapp.

### How to activate ETH\_sign setting on Metamask

Click on the Metamask extension this will open the Metamask window. Click the top right colored circle to open the context menu. Scroll down and click on **Settings** and then click on **Advanced.** .

On the Advanced screen scroll all the way to the bottom to find the setting `Toggle eth_sign requests` and toggle on. Now your wallet can execute Private Transactions through Instadapp!&#x20;

&#x20;We recommend you turn off eth\_sign when you are not actively using using [Private Transaction Mode](/features/private-transactions.md) or if you no longer need this feature.
